MiniHelmet football (patent pending) is an exciting turn based, offensive and defensive strategy game that's great for all ages!
Be the QB or the running back! Send your receivers out for a pass and connect for a winning touch down, or make the clutch field goal that wins the game in overtime!
OFFENSE
PASS PLAY
Your based offensive formation includes two wide receivers and a tight end. Or Three receivers, with on in the slot. Is a straight pass formation, there are no running backs.
MiniHelmet Football is turned based. So your first move is to send out, or 'flick' a receiver down field, into the flat, or behind the D-line.
The defense can move one player to block any passing lanes, then you get your second move. Flick a second receiver downfield. The defensive player then has a chance to block any passing lanes with his second turn.
Finally, you can move your quarterback laterally to a spot that allows you to flick him through an opening or passing lane, and connect with an open receiver.
If your Quarterback helmet connects with your receiver, the pass is complete! If your Quarterback helmet touches any defensive helmet, the result is an interception - and the defensive player that intercepted can forward the ball.
If you don't flick your quarterback helmet hard or far enough to reach your receiver, or if your quarterback helmet tumbles because you flicked it too hard, the result is an incomplete pass!
DEFENSE
Your goal on defense is to flick your helmets into position durring your turn,to block any passing or running lanes. Period.
As a Defensive Coordinator, learn the different defensive formations - their strengths or weaknesses against the pass, run and option plays.
Accuracy and control are crucial for man-to-man coverage and stuffing running lanes. Make sure to watch videos on when and why to send linemen back into pass coverage.
